Projected image - The look of the work

Major Interactive

Projected Image
* What is the projected image (visual output)?
- Dots (clarify, what is the purpose of using dots).
- Artist Reference doing dots (introduced by Teresa) : Yayoi Kusama.
* Try to find a connection between the sound and visual.
* The projected image needs to be visible (sunlight, proposed area is the grass patch, which is outdoor).

The look of the work
* What do the devices look like?
- 1# : The shape of 'æ' : a sound drill form (spelling), it stands for double 'e' (eye and ear) and it is a symbol (visual) of a sound.
The shape constrains user from moving around, projected image on the curvy side will be very small due to its distance to the projector).
- 2# : The shape of a wavelength : Sound is received by ear in a wave form and so does image, it is received by the eye through the presence of light, the wave of light.
Needs to determine the position of the users (e.g. standing, sitting, lying).
* Whom does the work for (target audience)? (e.g. professional composer, painter/ anyone/ kids).
* How the images are being projected?
- Discussion with Andreas :
option 1# : two computers with two projectors.
option 2# : three computers with one projector.
option 3# : one computer with video mixer.
* Input and output :
- Sound :
input : sound (microphone).
output : visual sketch. (sound created by the user).
- Visual :
input : drawing (multi touch screen).
output : digital sound. (drawings created by the user).
